Global Article Opinion

My comments re your Oct 3rd Global National News article on '20 year old millionaire
energy healer', in which you sought to elicit the 'esteemed' academic knowledge of
Professor Barry Beyersteinon on the healing work of the young BC healer 'Adam'.

According to the article you quoted Prof Beyersteinon as saying, "They don't really
cure anybody. It can make people feel better, but they are not necessarily getting
better. That’s why these things need to be tested under properly controlled
conditions."

It would seem to me that as an academic one needs to be aware of certain things:

1. If one has no true understanding or knowledge of something, one doesn't make
statements that attempt to discredit that which one knows little about.

2. Keep an open mind. If academics have closed minds before they actually investigate
anything, that surely smacks of bias. It is also unethical and unprofessional.

3. Engage in research on the topic before opening one's mouth! Opinions are not facts.
When being asked a question by the media on a topic with which one is not familiar,
the academic should have the courage to say, "I've never read much about this or had
any direct experience with this, so I cannot comment except to give my opinion, which
is not based upon fact." or "I cannot comment as I am not familiar with the research
on this topic."

4. You might find this article interesting: http://www.butterbach.net/mainfare/AcademiaCritique_v1.1.htm

When the media is asking for a 'professional opinion' it behoves the media to find
someone who actually knows what they are talking about...or is this type of reporting
a thing of the past?

It was not so long ago that psychology was thought to be a 'nutty' profession. When
I was an undergrad in the U.K. many moons ago psychology was a 'new' thing which
many of the locals thought was a 'load of codswalllop'! The history of medicine is not
exactly pristine and pure either. It took 40 years for them to accept that the simple
act of washing one's hands before deliving a baby could save the lives of countless
women. Think of how many women died while they were getting used to this idea.
The 'quack' physician who came up with the idea was ostracised by his profession!
One might also ask why the biological sciences are having such a hard time with
quantum physics...perhaps because it blows their paradigm and they'd all have to
go back to school?

With that in mind, perhaps I can enlighten you as to how out of touch you seem to
be with the "phenomenon" of energy healing and distance healing. Also, how biased
your reporting is on a topic you obviously have done little research on. Your laziness
in not doing your research or simply stating your obvious bias shines though your
article. Obviously you prefer shallow and sensational reporting because it seems to
be fun to put down or make insinuations about those who have the courage to
publicly state what they do and do what they are gifted to do.
"...But does Adam truly have healing powers? Skeptics argue that the millions of
dollars in workshops, books and DVD sales make up the real motivation behind the
energy healing phenomenon. "
Sounds a bit like the story of the guy who thought it would be a good idea to wash
hands during a delivery!

Your article is also insulting to those who attend Adam's workshops and once again
shows your ignorance of who attends these workshops and the calibre of people many
of them are. You insinuate that we flock like sheep without any brains in our heads.
"Adam calls himself an energy healer. Thousands across North America are flocking to
his sold out workshops. In this bizarre transformation Adam claims he can influence
people’s brain waves, ultimately affecting their health.
Professor Barry Beyersteinon obviously had no idea what he was talking about and
should have kept his mouth shut. However, for your own enlightenment, and so that
perhaps after reading below, you will get off Adam's case:
Harvard has done research which demonstrates that thought can actually travel in
advance of itself. Hard to believe, but true.
The telephone is an amazing conduit of energy and can assist in transferring
information about a person's energy field just like a computer reads wireless
messages from 'airports'.
Many allopathic drugs have been shown to be no better than the placebo effect, yet
they are still on the market making trillions of dollars...along with all their killing side
effects. They rank as number three in terms of causing death in our society at the
moment. Go figure! No word from you about this "phenomena"?
Does anyone question the CEO's of the large corporations who give themselves
1000%
increases in salary and make millions, plus annual bonuses, for their supposed
'healing' work which a very conservative estimates suggest kills at least 160,000
human beings in the U.S. alone per annum? (See New England Journal of
Medicine)
Something rotten at the core of science?
http://post.queensu.ca/~forsdyke/peerrev4.htm
Lots of research has been done on 'energy healing' all over the world, in
conditions that would put some of the research done in psychology or other
'accepted' medical practices to shame. If you'd like some proof of this simply
contact the amazing Polish healer, Mietek Wirkus. He has been 'healing' since he
was a child (He's now in his 60's.) and subjected to all kinds of scientific tests. http://www.mietekwirkus.com/
When a healer begins a healing session, it has been found that the energy of the
healer begins to resonate with the earth's Schumann waves at 7.8 Hz. After a short
period of time, the healee, also begins to resonate with this frequency. The healer
seems to have the effect of balancing or recalibrating the energies of the healee.
Read Tom Harpur's book called 'The Uncommon Touch', where he went out as a
sceptic to investigate 'energy healing' for the Toronto Star, travelled around Europe
to meet with various healers, and came home a believer.
A must read: 'The Field' by Lynn McTaggart - Lynne began work on The Field ...
as a personal quest to see if any new scientific theories could explain how homeopathy
and spiritual healing work. She traveled to meet with top frontier scientists in Russia,
Germany, France, England, South American, Central America and the USA. She says
"During these meetings, I made incredible discoveries, what these scientists were
working on seemed to overthrow the current laws of biology, chemistry and physics.
Their work not only offered an explanation of why homeopathy and spiritual healing
might work. Their theories and experiments also compounded into a new science, a
new view of the world."

and 'Light Emerging'. http://www.barbarabrennan.com/welcome/introduction.html
Or perhaps any of the many works of Larry Dossey, M.D. which should be right up

Any book by biologist Lyall Watson would be enlightening to you. There are many
interesting and unusual phenomenon in nature that we have only just begun to
understand or even look at. Lyall Watson has been a pioneer in the 'unusual' aspects
of nature since the early 1960's. http://www.lyallwatson.com/New_Look/Home2.htm

according to you, Dr. Mitchell has also been swept up in Adam's cult of followers!
In the U.K., healers may now register with the National Health Service and
may work along side doctors and nurses in hospitals and clinics, and receive a
salary just like they do. The British, at least, are more enlightened than we
appear to be! They do say it takes us about 10 years to catch up with Europe...
In Europe, many graduating physicians go on to study complementary therapies,
including 'energy healing' as that is what the public demands. There are a number
of universities set up for this very purpose.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, vice-chair of surgery and professor of cardiac surgery at
Columbia University used an 'energy healer' in his O.R. while conducting surgery
for years to help stabilize his patients, enhance their chances of survival and speed
up their rate of healing.
Healing research has been done by the Therapeutic Touch Network on many
aspects of 'energy healing'. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=10550906&dopt=Citation or http://www.therapeutictouchnetwk.com/Research.html
How about the early work of Dr. Valerie Hunt, prof at U of California for decades,
who did extensive work with two gifted energy healers twenty years ago. Try reading
her book, 'Infinite Mind' for some further enlightenment!
http://www.bioenergyfields.org/
Or, are you aware of Kirlian photography, discovered by accident by Russian
scientists, which shows the human energy field, giving us evidence that we are
fluid energetic/electromagnetic human beings, not solid Newtonian mechanistic
machines. They even discovered that so-called inanimate objects such as rocks
or metal also have an energy field! http://skepdic.com/kirlian.html
I personally have a video of a double-blind study completed here in North America,
which shows an energy healer at work healing puncture wounds that had their
healing rate measured by a group of independent doctors who were unaware of
what was happening in the experiment! Guess which group had a rapid rate of
recovery from their wounds!
And so I could go on for several hours. I wonder if I have made my point? When
Health Canada is stating on its website that 70-80% of the Canadian population
is using complementary therapies, it seems that it would behove you to do a
little real research into this topic, rather than trying to bash it with shallow and
ignorant statements from academics who obviously haven't got a clue. Is 'big
pharma' calling your tune or are you simply stuck in a rut/unenlighten mud?
Perhaps the press, like many in the medical profession, are slower in 'getting it'
than the general public.

You owe Adam and us a public apology!

Yours truly,

WHO ARE THE QUACKS?
By William Howard Hay, M.D.
Buffalo, New York

What is a “quack”? Medically speaking a quack is everyone but us, the regular school of medicine. No one not a graduate of a modern school of medicine is free from odium of quackery, from the regular classical, orthodox standpoint. Isn’t this true?

Let us put the definition of “quacks” a little more broadly, not limiting it to outlaw cults. From the broader viewpoint a quack is someone who pretends to be something which he is not, or one who is not able to do what he claims to do, especially if he takes money for this pretense.

From this broader view how many of us are there who can escape the suspicion of quackery?

If we should tell the absolute truth how often would we be compelled to say to a patient, “I do not know what is the matter with you, and not knowing this, I am in no position to treat you intelligently?”

If we were honest how many patients would we have? They would all leave us for the quacks, and we would be left holding the bag, as it were. We know this, and all unconsciously we are compelled to assume an air of wisdom and pronounce judgment on maladies for which we are consulted, well knowing that if the case escapes us and goes to someone else our opinion is in danger, for it is well a known fact that if a case is not perfectly plain (and most cases are NOT plain), should such a case go to a hundred different regular, well-informed physicians he would get nearly as many different diagnoses, and still more different plans of treatment.

We know this, I say, and we unconsciously protect ourselves by assuring the patient positively that we understand his condition very well, in order to make sure of this unfailing confidence in our enlightened judgment.

Are we quacks for this deception? How can we escape the imputation? Who is to blame for this position in which we find ourselves? Is it our fault or that of human nature as expressed in the patient? No doubt both, for while we are to blame for allowing ourselves to be placed in this position of arbiters of disease, about which we do not know very much, yet so also is the public to blame for being so silly as to think that the mysterious thing we call disease can be reduced to exact formulae.

The fathers of medicine made what they were pleased to call discoveries, which were generally discoveries that certain drugs produced certain symptoms if taken into the interior of the human, and these discoveries were proposed to combat the symptoms of disease.

This was originally a theory, always has been a theory, and in the very nature of things never can be anything but a theory, for the internal processes of the body in health or disease, are not and never will be fully understood, the vital processes not being subject to exact analysis; and while we may learn much of the internal chemistry of the body, and discover experimentally many things of interest in the functions of the various organs, yet we never can analyze the vital machinery in action in the sooner we drop this pretense of exact knowledge the better it will be for our prestige.

Fully a third of the population of the U.S. has ceased to depend on regular physicians for advice or treatment of their various diseases, perhaps, because they are beginning dimly to realize through many disappointments the fallibility of classical medicine. Who can tell?

A questionnaire issued to seven thousand people recently disclosed the fact that less than ten percent of them were unqualifiedly loyal to medicine, more than ninety percent admitting their allegiance, partially or wholly, to Christian Science, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Naturopathy, Mechanotherapy, or other cult.

“Quacks”, we sneer, yet we must admit the falling off in our former supremacy in the treatment of disease. This is a bitter admission, yet if we are honest enough to face the truth, we should look this thing fairly in the eye and to know why this defection.

A few years ago, Sir James McKenzie, of St. Andrews, Scotland, quoted in the London Times, from the London Lancet, said in effect that to diagnose a gastric ulcer, gall stones, appendicitis, tumor, is not diagnosis in the strict sense of the word, but merely naming a prominent symptom, denoting the point of convergence of the cause of the diseased condition, but to say why this man is sick, to tell how and why he has departed from health, is not possible to him, in this wonderful clinic, in more than ten percent of the cases examined.

Dr. Cabot of the Harvard Medical School, says of the post modern finding of the Massachusetts General Hospital, where precision is carried to the n’th degree, that these have proven the diagnosis to be wrong in over fifty percent of the cases, and this means they have missed the principal trouble in more than half of the cases, and Dr. McKenzie says that even this is not diagnosis at all. Sir William Osler, late Regis professor of medicine in Oxford, quoted the immortal Voltaire as saying: “We put drugs of which we know little, into bodies of which we know less, to cure disease of which we know nothing at all.”

Quacks, just plain quacks, whether we are willing to admit it or not, for are not we doing the very things for which we condemn those whom we are pleased to call by this opprobrious name?

In 1857-63 Antoine Bechamp announced his microzmian theory of fermentation, which he was pleased to say was also the theory of the beginning of disease, recognizing germs at metamorphoses of the miscrozmya for biochemic purposes.

Pasteur, a contemporary of Bechamp, not a physician, but a chemist, or rather an apothecary, attributed to the germs, these micro-organisms developed from the microzyma of Bechamp, the role of invader, believing that because they were ever present in disease, certain germs being supposedly always present in certain diseases, that therefore they cause these diseases.

Bechamp was a scientist, Pasteur an advertiser. Bechamp was so absorbed in his researches that he contented himself with occasional reports to the Academy of Sciences while Pasteur went to the public with everything he discovered, creating a popular following that acclaimed him a scientific genius.

Much of his work was plainly cribbed from Bechamp without credit, and interpreted to suit his purpose, which was to build up a huge market for germ destroyers.

Bechamp died poor and unknown, outside the Academy; Pasteur in almost affluent circumstances acclaimed by the scientific world as a great benefactor, and mourned yearly since his demise.

This theory of germs as the cause of disease was analyzed by Prof. Robert Koch, who formulated a dictum, accepted by the scientists of his time, that must be met in order to fix on the germ as a cause of disease.

According to this dictum if the germ caused the disease it must be present in every case of this disease; it must not be present except in conjunction with the disease, it must be susceptible of separate cultivation in proper media outside the body, and finally, it must be susceptible of transplantation again in the human body, where it must infallibly produce the same disease.

The germ theory does not meet a single one of these conditions infallibly, the germ frequently being absent from diseased conditions which are attributed to it; being generally present in bodies in which the disease attributed to it is most conspicuous by its absence! And while germs are susceptible to cultivation outside the body, in suitable media, yet they are subject to mutation as the medium is changed in character, and, if again introduced into the body, they do not always infallibly cause the disease they are supposed to cause, generally not causing disease of any kind whatsoever.

Pasteur has already set us back sixty years by his advertising of the germ theory, and if we go back to the teachings of Bechamp, recognizing the microzyma as the prime cause, and the germ as a development of a biochemical nature, result of the condition of the body, transformed into a necessary scavenger to remove from the body objectionable matter, we will perhaps regain the ground lost for over sixty years, and be able to concentrate our attention on the soil conditions in the body, not on the harmless germ scavenger.

If the bacillus of tuberculosis was the cause of tuberculosis how could any of us escape infection?

The same is true of typhoid fever, pneumonia, any infectious disease, for the germs accompanying those diseases are ubiquitous.

We are spending valuable time, oodles of money, splendid brain power, in studying the life history of germs when they are but biochemic scavengers, friendly things whose function is the often urgent one of ridding the body, on short notice, of accumulations that have become intolerable, embarrassing to functions, so that we are thus missing the real object of our search for the cause of disease.

The soil conditions that make necessary the presence of the germs are our real field of search, but we have lost sight of this field almost entirely in our frantic hunt for germs, and we can lay the blame for this wrong steer on Louis Pasteur.
We have no proof of the boasted effectiveness of any form of antitoxin or vaccine or serum.

After one is vaccinated or serumized, immunized, we have destroyed the only proof that counts, for we have no way of knowing whether or not the vaccinated or serumized person would have contracted disease in the absence of this so-called protection; not all do so.

If such vaccinated or serumized person contracts the disease against which he is supposed to be protected it is pretty good evidence that such “protection” is valueless, isn’t it? Surely people do contract disease against which they are supposed to be immunized, as we all know.

In World War I were not our boys in the army thoroughly “protected”? They were physically fit on admission to the army, else they could not have got by the examining boards; they were thoroughly, very thoroughly immunized against typhoid fever, meningitis, pneumonia, influenza, yet they died like flies, not on the firing line, but right here at home, in the concentration camps, where they were surrounded by the finest sanitary precautions that science could devise, and not only did they die, but they died of the very disease against which they were supposed to have been rendered immune.

Do you doubt this statement? Look up the records of every cantonment in the country during the concentration of the army, and see for yourself whether or not this is true. The death rate from pneumonia, complicating influenza, was simply staggering, in some camps reaching four or five times the rate among civilians, these weak ones who were not able to go to war, who did not have the blessings of immunization.

How much good did the serum treatment do these boys? Ask Louis Pasteur, if you can conjure up his disembodied spirit.

Quacks, all of us, doing the things we do not know how to do, promising things we cannot perform.

Is it any wonder the public is getting a little suspicious of us and our vaunted “discoveries”? The wonder to me is that there are still seven millions of them willing to submit to vaccination and serum treatment.

The true figures on vaccination for smallpox have never got before the public, though they can be seen in the files of various departments of the army as well as the government, if one cares to ask for them. If the record of vaccination in the Philippines alone were ever to become matter of general knowledge, it would finish vaccination in the whole country, at least among those who were able to read and think for themselves. After three years of the most rigid vaccination, when almost every little brown man had been vaccinated from one to six times, there occurred the most severe epidemic of smallpox that the islands had ever seen, with the death rate running in places to almost sixty percent, and in all well over sixty thousand deaths. Did you ever know this before? Assuredly not; yet it is found in the government records in just this form. Manila and the surrounding province were vaccinated most thoroughly, also they showed the highest case record and death record of the whole archipelago, while some of the outlying country was not so thoroughly vaccinated and escaped with proportionately less disease.
How much good did we do these poor fellows? Ask Edward Jenner! He knows now, if so be that we know after death, and I am willing to believe that he would gladly spend a part of his eternity in purgatory if he could undo the wrong he did the world by vaccination.

The only epidemic of smallpox it was ever my misfortune to attend comprised thirty-three cases, with twenty-nine vaccination histories, some recent, and unvaccinated cases did not have the disease in any more severe form than did those with the vaccination history, even those of recent history, and the same proportion holds pretty well over the vaccinated world, for vaccination does NOT protect against smallpox, though it does much harm aside from its usefulness.

Well, are you satisfied that we are quacks? In the eyes of those willing to forget the present prestige of medicine, such as it is, with all its dignity, its scientific jargon, its pratings of Altruism, its great endowment, its well heralded “achievements”, we are most assuredly quacks, professing to do things we cannot do, and-yes, taking money under this pretense.

We may excuse ourselves by accusing others, and believing that no one can do better than we, but we are clearly in the wrong when we attempt to secure favorable legislation for selfish ends or try to strangle legislations that may prove undesirable to us in our position as arbiters in matters of disease.

When we attempt to compel by legislation the obedience of an unwilling public we are exceeding the bounds of fairness, to say the least.

The public pays its own bills, it has a perfect right to say who shall and who shall not enjoy its patronage, and for this reason, as well as those stated before the writer is wholly out of sympathy with all efforts to coerce a willing and generous people in the matter of medical care, even as in the matter of religious belief.

We are continually urging on legislatures of state and nation bills to give us more power, more right to compel the unwilling obedience of a long suffering public to our every whim and wish, all “in the interest of public health”.

Suppose we do succeed in so militarizing the whole country that we have the right to go into any private home and tell them what’s what.

Can we do better than the medical section of the army did? We have been seeking legislation to compel every child in school to be “Schickd”, then if reaction occurs we want the power to immunize such suspicious child. We pray for the power of the Kaiser multiplied by seven times, and we almost have that now.

If we had the power to immunize under compulsion every man, woman, and child against influenza, would the results be better than they were among the selected risks of the army? What proof have we that they would be different? Would death rates of twelve to thirteen percent, which seem very high to us even in so fatal an epidemic as that of 1981-19, fall under general immunization? If they fell to twenty-six percent, as we witnessed in some of the army cantonments, it would be hard to convince the public we were benefactors.

No, we are far, very far, from knowing what to do to prevent disease, and even in great epidemic diseases, such as yellow fever, we have had to take off our hats to the entomologist and the sanitary engineer, and it was an entomologist that pointed out the anopheles as the carrier of malaria infection, and it was the sanitary engineer that found how to get rid of the pesky things, while we stood by and applauded to the echo-and then took all credit, as one of the great medical achievements!

The fact is we are occupying a false position, and if we are honest we will retreat as rapidly and gracefully as possible from it, and we will be willing to stand on our own achievements and be judged by them.

We will allow the public to select its physician without compulsion of government, not forgetting that this is distinctly the public’s funeral, and that the public pays the bills.

Until we drop all thought of compulsory medicine we should be consistent and compel our particular brand of religion and politics on our neighbors, as well as our particular brand of medicine.

We have to show that our particular brand of healing is the best and only, so let us have a little more charity for other schools and for the public which has a perfect right to decide its own brand of medicine. If we wish to escape suspicion of quackery let us be sure our backyard is clean before we seek to make our neighbors clean up theirs.

The Healing Source

“Adam says over and over at the workshops that the person heals themselves and he is there to actively facilitate the healing.”

Well then, what “causes” healing take place?

Fundamentally it boils down to the way we mentalize based upon linear dynamics in a Newtonian paradigm of “cause and effect”.
With the dualistic view of cause and effect, it makes logical sense to come to the conclusion that Adam is actually doing the healing, but, as he has stated many times, that is not the case.

The truth of the matter is that healing is facilitated by many conditions, just one of those conditions being intention. As Adam facilities this process with intention through visualization, the person experiencing the healing also facilitates the healing response using intention.
When intention is present as a condition and other conditions, known and unknown (from a cause and effect standpoint) are met, the actual healing “affect” is perceived but happens of its own as a result of many conditions. It is sourced out of a non-linear dynamic, beyond the Newtonian dimension of cause and effect, and not “caused” by any one thing or person. It is merely facilitated and a healing results when many conditions are in place at a given “time”.

It is similar to how a seed turns into a plant. There are many “conditions” which must be in place for the seed to grow into the plant, The make up of the seed being one of those conditions, but also sunlight, water, minerals, etc. So, to attribute the “cause” of the plant to the seed is what the mind projects onto the phenomena and one based upon the dualistic split that takes place in consciousness as a result of the human ego.

In the non-linear dimension nothing is “caused” by anything else as is thought of in the Newtonian paradigm, but happens of its own when conditions are appropriate. It is the propensity to heal and probalistic when conditions are appropriate. Some of these conditions may not be “perceived” by the senses but operating in the subconscious mind, such as unknown Karmic factors.

Considering this mix of “conditions” that are needed and facilitated by intention, consciousness or the field simply promotes or facilitate healing in a “non-personal” way and is a result of simply being part of the field of consciousness at a certain “level”, such as a level of unconditional love.It may be more appropriate when one thinks within the Newtonian paradigm that it is not the “person” who actually does any healing but simply the result of being present in a certain energy field which is not “personal” but simply “is” and is of sufficient strength to facilitate healing when conditions are appropriate.

professional skeptics and their hidden agenda

The problem with the truth is that so many efforts are made at distorting it to serve questionable purposes or simply reflect one own's biases and faulty thinking.Perhaps more simply said: "There are 3 sides to every story, yours, mine and the truth."I have read Adam's books and attended one of his seminars and have also carefully read his website. I have researched the Ronnie Hawkins story. With very little investigation it was apparent that Ronnie's cancer was undeniably diagnosed by surgeons at a repudible hospital. Inoperable pancreatic cancer. This was well documented by medical records and reported on. Specifically when they operated on Ronnie to cut out the cancer they did not do the procedure because it was larger than the surgeons had anticipated and was wrapped around an artery. The info. in your post appears to be another skeptic's diatribe which appears either to be deliberately misleading or just sadly lacking in investigation.People like Adam quickly discover as many others have realized - you can not change the mind of a hard-core skeptic as their mind is "locked from the inside". To spend time proving yourself to them and jumping through their various hoops (and better believe they will ask you to spend enormus time and energy to convince them)is simply not worth the effort and a huge waste of one's limited time.To others that might wonder the "truth" of the situation, perhaps you should do your own research including reading Adam's books and perusing his website as a starter.I have done me own investigation and thinking and have concluded that "Adam" is the real thing and you will hear a lot more about this gifted Canadian healer. My purpose here is not to advertise this healer but to atleast cause others to unlock their own minds a little. Besides the misinformation I find in this post is disturbing.Make sure your own mind is not being distorted by the professional skeptics as they have their own hidden agenda.

Primetime DreamHealer

For years, Adam, the internationally known distance healer and author, kept his full name and identity hidden — and for good reason. The family of the Vancouver teenager was concerned that his remarkable powers might affect his social development.
That quest for privacy came with a side benefit: a bit of mystique. Adam’s desire for a secret identity ironically gave him an air of mystery that generated even more interest in his work.
This month, Adam is doing something Clark Kent would never dream of: revealing his identity. On July 13, Adam will expose his name and face on TV for the first time, on ABC’s Primetime Live.
Adam sees his unmasking as a natural progression and hopes the program will help draw greater attention to his seminars and his book Dreamhealer, which is being released this month in the U.S. by Penguin Books.
The 19-year-old feels he’s ready to deal with the extra attention that will come his way. “I really don’t let it get to me,” says Adam of all the interest he receives. “I do my best to help as many people as I can but I also maintain my own health by living a normal life.”
Just how normal? On the night the ABC broadcast reveals his face to the world, Adam won’t even bother to watch it. “It airs on July 13, which is actually my birthday,” he says. “I’ll be out at a party somewhere.”

EEG Studies with Adam - DreamHealer

A total of 4 EEG brain maping studies were recently carried out on 4 different patients. These are all certified scientific methods of measuring brain wave activity. All 4 showed sigificant brain wave activity once Adam connected as if doing a healing. These results will add further to the proof that our intentions do affect those around us. More details on these results will be made available shortly.

Why is Polevoy's web site dangerous?

If you had terminal cancer and the doctors told you that they can do nothing else for you and of your own free will decided to check the internet for alternative treatments. It's a free country. Origin of the Universe

According to the Big Bang theory, the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe, the universe was created sometime between ten billion and twenty billion years ago when a cosmic explosion hurled matter in all directions. Because of this, we are all energetically connected as one. We all have access to all of the knowledge in the universe; that knowledge is in the form of energy. This means we can access the information needed for healing. We do this through our intuition and intentions. The “library” of this universal knowledge is commonly referred to as “the field.”

Just to let you know that I thought this weekend in Calgary was incredible. It was worth the 7 hour drive to get there!! While I wasn't there for any particular ailment, I got so much out of the workshop. I was able to see my aura this weekend and that was so exciting because I haven't been able to see it in the past. During the treatments I felt intense tingling in both my hands and feet and felt a sense of calmness and peace. I also felt like someone was stroking the left side of my head throughout the second workshop. It was very soothing. I talked to you later at the book signing about my broken left foot and what to do with it. I broke it in early February and it is taking a long time to heal. I started doing the visualization that you encouraged me to, and I know that will take care of it. Thank you so much for your gift and your willingness to share that gift with people.

All of my ailments have disappeared

Hi Adam, My husband and I were at your healing session in Toronto on April 30, 2004. Since then all of my ailments have disappeared. I had Arthritis in my knees, IBS and High blood pressure. My blood pressure is lower now than it was in my 20's (128/80). I no longer take stool softener and I used to take approximately six capsules a day for the last year. Lastly I've been running up and down the stairs kneeling and doing all kinds of gardening with out any knee pain at all. We'd love to attend another healing session.

My pain is lessening and I can walk up and down the stairs without assistance

Dear Adam,
I have just returned from Vancouver Valentines Day workshop and I am looking forward to the next one. My pain is lessening and I can walk up and down the stairs without assistance. The brain fog is gone, what a blessing you are. I haven't felt this good in many years. I am so grateful to you. Words cannot express my gratitude. Keep up the good work dreamhealer.

It was a great experience for me

I'm so thankful for joining your workshop. It was a great experience for me and I understood everything even I'm not so familiar with the English language, what made me happy too.

On the first day while the treatments my head was like a balloon, like somebody pumped air in it and I got a little headache and on top I was dizzy.
But I could feel the energy and I was able to relax into myself. What a success!!!!!

On the second day I didn't feel that much dizzy anymore. I didn't feel so much like the day before. What I felt was more emotional. After you finished, Adam, I was close before crying. The feeling I had in my body was so touching and again I kept my tears for myself of course when I was a child I learned not to cry.

I found it very interesting

I attended the workshop on Saturday February 14 in Vancouver. I found it very interesting. There were times during the day when I wondered what I was doing; sitting in a dark room with a bunch of strangers. Raising the energy for the first healing was a new experience for me. I did not feel anything during the healing but afterwards I ached all over. It was particularly sore on my back, shoulders, arms, and hands. I felt good but sore. An unusual combination. After the second healing it was even worse. I was exhausted and sore for the remainder of the evening. So much so I had to go to my bed at 9pm. Since then I have been feeling better and better every day. More energy. A much improved mental attitude. Quite an extraordinary experience. When is your next one? I plan on telling all of my friends to go. If I can be of any assistance; in helping arrange, or assisting at future workshops I would be delight to help
Keep up the good work Adam.

I have more energy, sleeping better

Is there any noticeable change since before the first fibromyalgia workshop?
I have more energy, sleeping better. I seem to be doing more active things in my day than before. The pain in my shoulders, neck, legs, arms and back are not there. With this hot weather I usually suffer greatly in pain, there's no pain. Except for my right ankle and foot. That seems to be the only problem these days. Though I found after I do the visualizations, the pain goes away for awhile.

Adam DreamHealer™ Testimonial

Another lady had chronic stomach problems she indicated that she ate poorly I felt tired most of the time. She sleeps poorly and suffers from occasional moments of depression. This is what she wrote after the first treatment: "I woke up this morning and my stomach was not in pain as it always was. I don't have trouble taking deep breaths as I used to and although the pain on my liver was not as constant as my stomach discomfort, I feel none right now. I will keep you posted. Although I express primarily through music and words, neither words nor music are enough right now to thank you for working on this with me. I felt desperate and you have given me back my peace. This is honestly the first time I've heard about this type of treatment but I firmly believe. I can't thank you enough".

Another fellow from New York, who was involved in a bad car accident many years ago, has had very little help from conventional medicine. After several treatments he sent me the following message: "I am amazed by the first treatment when I experienced significant improvement in focus and concentration. In my opinion you are one of the most precise healers compared to all the people with healing abilities, I have met through out the world. Everything looks great and the changes feel like they are permanent.
-Overall I feel much better (calmed down); -No headaches since we started treatments
-No more stomach aches; -Digestive system works much better

DreamHealer - Open Minds beware of debunkers who insist on their own meaning of "proof", but in the name of "science"!

In today's world many are at a level of intellectualism that has roots in the Newtonian paradigm, where the simple laws of cause and effect stand and of which most of modern science is based on.

It is said that everything in the manifest world comes from the non-linear, unmanifest "field" of which all creation is born and evolving at the same "time". This non-linear dimension if you will is what baffles many Quantum Physicists and others when conclusions are drawn such that "the consciousness of the observer" affects the experiment itself.

The above statement says a lot when considering any modern day "linear" scientific tests that are performed on phenomena that are occurring of their own in the "non-linear" dimension and in "context" of other conditions such as "intent" that may result in a healing. Such an experiment, for instance, performed on a healer such as Adam must be carefully considered and deployed to insure that the proper measures are being taken into consideration.

Simply put, many of today's measuring instruments and experimenters (read their "level of consciousness") are not equipped to measure that which has its source in the "non-linear" dimension. We became able to measure radio waves and other "invisible" energy fields, and we are slowly emerging the capability to measure subtle "healing" energy such as that which affects brain wave states.

As the saying goes, "You can't measure ghosts with a Geiger Counter", so we must be sure to have the proper experimental conditions. And, considering the Heisenberg / Uncertainty Principle, what the person holds in consciousness that is conducting the experiment can actually affect the outcome, wow! So in the future as experiments are conducted on subtle energy careful consideration should be made as to who the actual person is that is conducting the experiment in the first place and their intent!

That is why any hard lined skeptic that holds his positionality so strongly on an experiential viewpoint will most certainly obtain consistent results which will continue to bind him to his current, debunking belief system.

Theta Waves

June 06,2006 Adam was involved in a brain mapping study. The results are presently being analyzed but preliminarily it looks very exciting. A local neuro psychologist placed the brain mapping equipment on the head of a female participant. Readings were taken with Adam in another room not connecting; in the same room not connecting; in the same room and connecting telepathically as he does when he does his treatments; finally there were readings taken after Adam left the room.
There was a significant increase in high amplitude theta waves only when Adam connected. This was recorded in the left prefrontal cortex. It is only a first test and we plan to experiment more. Once we have further results from this study we will publish them as we are sure the debunkers are anxious to have proof that Adam is actulally making a connection. This is all very exciting stuff as we are always trying to find scientific proof.
The Shamanic State of Consciousness, which is theta brainwaves, allows us to journey into the higher planes. The steady-rhythmic beat of the drum struck four and one-half times per second (theta waves are 4-7 cps) is the key to transporting a shaman into the deepest part of his or her Shamanic trance. The constant and rhythmic-drone of Tibetan Buddhist chants that transport the monks and other listeners into realms of blissful meditation also follow this rhythm.

Theta waves have also been identified as the gateway to learning and memory. Theta meditation increases creativity, enhances learning, reduces stress and awakens intuition as well as other extrasensory perception skills. Theta consciousness allows us to connect with our creative inspirations, spiritual guidance and peak experiences. Through theta wave meditation, we can open our Third Eye and access the delta waves that unite us with Universal Energy and Cosmic Consciousness.

The Theta state is where intuition comes, instantaneous healings occur and accelerated learning occurs. Einstein trained himself to spend many hours in that state. It is where you feel one with All.

Debunkers

DreamHealer ( Dream Healer )
One has to be cautious where they get the real story on Adam. There are debunkers out there who have never read Adam's books or attended a workshop. They are very quick to criticize something they know nothing about. One has to wonder what their agenda is all about and where source of funding comes from. Adam's focus is on helping people to help themselves and learn to ask more questions about all the meds that are pushed on us. Some people have a problem with us learning to think for ourselves. The debunkers will resort to defamation, lying, and libelous claims just to get their agenda heard.
If you look a little closer at the debunker's websites you will soon realize that their main objective is to sell books and receive commissions. They will criticize Adam and at the same time sell his books and DVD's. So the purpose of criticizing is simply to attract traffic to sell books under the guise of protecting the public.
